Consultant Scott Hagley, in addition to being a consultant and researcher for Church Innovations also teaches religion, theology, and youth ministry at Augsburg College, Rochester College, and Bethel University. Scott has a Ph.D. in Congregational Mission and Leadership at Luther Seminary in Saint Paul. His dissertation work focused on the ways in which congregational public engagement shapes its theological reflection and vice versa, which has led to an interest in thinking about models of dialogue and discernment in relationship to congregational leadership and decision-making. Prior to doing his Ph.D. work Scott served for nine years as a pastor and congregational leader in Baptist congregations in the U.S. and Canada. Scott, his wife and their two daughters live in Saint Paul, Minnesota. |
