Director of Client Services
John Mueller Nowell

Reverend John Mueller Nowell is a retired pastor in the Minnesota Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. In his 25 years as a local United Methodist pastor, John served small and large congregations in rural, large city, suburban and urban settings. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Westmar College and a Master of Divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.

From 2000-2010 John was appointed by his denomination to serve as a consultant/facilitator to help congregations of all denominations with visioning and revitalization. He continues to provide consulting services to Church Innovations in his retirement.

As the Director of Client Services at Church Innovations John uses his years of pastoral experience to help leaders of congregations and mid-level church bodies articulate their need for outside assistance in their vision/mission discernment process. When CI is chosen to partner in such a process with a congregation or a judicatory, John works with others at Church Innovations to assign the CI Associated Consultant with the best ministry skills for that particular need. He also provides telephone coaching/mentoring for many of the spiritual leaders who are serving congregations participating in the Partnership for Missional Church process.
