Consultant
Craig Morton

Craig grew up in Arizona where he acquired a love for God and the church from his grandfather who had served as a Presbyterian pastor and church planter. Craig began to develop a deeper theological understanding of peace, justice, and compassion while attending seminary at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. During his years in seminary his wife, Karla, and he began to find their church home among Anabaptists.

Craig has served as a Mennonite pastor in rural and suburban congregations for about fifteen years. Since 1999 he and Karla have been co-pastors of a small Mennonite-Quaker church near Boise, Idaho, where they live with two of their four children. He has also served as a consultant among Mennonites, Quakers, Presbyterians, as well as in other church consulting agencies. Through the Boise Presbytery he teaches leadership and pastoral ministry in a multi-denominational pastoral formation and studies program, “Seminary Without Walls”.

With his background in conflict transformation, pastoral and transition ministries, teaching, writing, and the emergent/postmodern church Craig works to assist emerging faith communities to form and grow, and established ministries to reevaluate habits and processes in order to develop as missional communities. Locally he is working with colleagues to develop a missional order, “The Mission Place” to encourage, educate, and provide spiritual disciplines for missional leaders.
