Chief Operating Officer and Consultant
Barbara Miller

In addition to her role as Chief Operating Officer for Church Innovations, Barbara serves as an Associated Consultant for the organization. Her extensive experience in professional leadership roles and service to non-profit organizations uniquely positions her to assist congregations involved in change. She is trained and experienced in consensus building, negotiation, planning, financial management, and process design and implementation. In addition, Barbara has long-term experience assisting Roman Catholic parishes in the Archdiocese of St Paul /Minneapolis as an Interim Pastoral Life Administrator, the person who guides a congregation through the transition time between assigned priests. She knows the congregational dynamics needed for successful change.

Barbara’s CI consulting includes staff covenanting, leadership transition, and visioning. Most recently, she has refined Church Innovations’ Interim Pastorate Transition Model and the Missional Lay Leadership Retreats. Her friendly and open manner combined with her no-nonsense approach help groups focus on their future in ways that will enhance their ministry.
