Ms. Sarah Stegemoeller

Sarah Stegemoeller, an attorney, is a recent transplant to Santa Monica, California, from Chicago, Illinois, via London. Before moving overseas, Sarah served as Executive Vice President of Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, and was in charge of all the non-academic functions of the seminary from 1994-98. Prior to that, she was engaged in private practice as a partner with Defrees and Fiske, a Chicago law firm that specializes in business and tax planning for closely held businesses. Currently, she is working on a project with Public Counsel, a pro bono legal services corporation, to develop a free legal support network for community health clinics in Los Angeles. Sarah earned her undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College, her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and her L.L.M. in Taxation from DePaul University. She has been appointed a Commissioner on the Santa Monica Commission on the Status of Women and is a member of the Board and Executive Committee of Wheat Ridge Ministries.
