Member The Reverend Dr. Callon W. Holloway Jr. has served as Bishop of the Southern Ohio Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church In America (ELCA) since 1966. He previously served as pastor of Westwood Lutheran Church in Dayton, OH, and then as assistant to the Bishop for mission and ministry and planning for the Southern Ohio Synod. His service to the church also includes serving on the Board of Directors of Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH, the Commission for Multicultural Ministries Lutheran Church in America and the Conference of International Black Lutherans and the Lutheran World Federation. Bishop Holloway is a graduate of Gettysburg College and received his Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. He received an honoryary Doctor of Divinity degree from Wittenberg University and an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from Capital University. |
