Member Alan Walter is an agricultural economist with a career that spans U.S. agricultural policy development (service in government), leadership for a national agricultural insurance association, and research and development for U.S. and international clients. He has been an advisor on agricultural risk management in Russia and Palestine. Alan is a licensed lay minister for the Central States Synod Evangelical Lutheran Church in America with service that has encompassed transformation and development of congregational ministries. Raised on an Illinois farm, he completed degrees in agricultural economics from Washington State University (Ph.D.), Cornell University (M.S.), and the University of Illinois (B.S.). Alan also served in the U.S. Army and is the recipient of the Bronze Star. |
