Spring has brought a time of growth and change to the world and especially to Church Innovations. This newsletter was delayed as we made some changes, but hope you share our excitement about the new format. With the help of some tremendous partners, we introduced new marketing materials in the fall to present at the GOCN conference.

This new look was received with such enthusiasm that we have now incorporated that “look” into all parts of our visual model, including the Website and Newsletter. We hoped to reflect our international scope, the clarity and vitality of our message, and recognizable connections in all we produce. We welcome your feedback.

We started 2006 spending three weeks with our South Africa Partners. Pat Taylor Ellison, Kris Stache, and I visited friends, worked with partners, taught classes at Stellenbosh University, and learned more about the transforming work of the PMC SA. We continue to enjoy the splendid partnership and appreciate the work being done. As a continuation of this partnership, we have welcomed for this spring and summer Dr. Frederick Marais from Stellenbosch University, one of our critical partners in PMC SA.

In additional to that Partnership, exciting conversations are taking place in other parts of the world, including Australia, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

We continue to develop the relationship with Allelon and together will produce the Summer Institute in July in Boise, Idaho, as well as participate in the Allelon Think Tank. All of these events are covered on our newly redesigned Website – we invite you to join us!

ACI Publishing has brought to print its first book: The Sky is Falling by Alan Roxburgh, available in our Website bookstore. This Newsletter has a book review by our friend Craig Van Gelder to tempt your interest. Early this summer, we will be publishing my new book: We are Here: the New Missional Era – look for the email announcing when it is available for you to order.

After a few trials, Church FutureFinder is being incorporated into effective use in seminary classrooms and congregations throughout the US – soon with our other international partners. We are excited at its versatility and effectiveness as part of the discovery process of the congregation.

During this season of Easter, I pray that this new life at Church Innovations reflects in every way the power and light of our Lord’s Resurrection. In this season, as in all seasons, we join you in innovating your church’s capacity to be renewed in mission.
