The Strauss Family Checks In
November 16, 2006
Our friends the Strauss family are spending 4 months in North America, touring, visiting old friends and making new ones. They began their journey with relatives in Toronto, then spent a month in the Twin Cities (DeWet also took several days with the brothers at St. John’s Monastery in Collegeville, MN). Since they hit the road in their little RV, they have visited Eugene, OR, Albuquerque, NM, parts of Oklahoma and Alabama, and are now resting in Boca Raton, FL. By December 1 they intend to rejoin us in Minnesota, after brief stops in Atlanta and Des Moines, and finally to return to their relatives in Toronto before flying back to Namibia at the end of December. DeWet is writing about how Christian community is formed and nurtured in various places and various ways. We are hoping he will share what he has learned on this journey in our newsletter in 2007. DeWet is the pastor of Academia Dutch Reformed Church in Windhoek, Namibia. Hilze has her own psychology practice.
